Nativity scenes featured again at LDS Church

CELEBRATING THE BIRTH OF CHRIST: As in years past, the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints in Goldendale is showcasing nativitity creches at the church Dec. 13, 14, and 15.

Central to the Christmas season for Christians everywhere is the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. Many families celebrate by setting out a Nativity scene. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Dec. 13, 14, and 15, the public is invited to view more than 300 beautiful crèches at the Goldendale Nativity, an annual community event that brings together in a single place nativity scenes owned by dozens of Goldendale residents.

Included in the display are heritage items, special collection pieces, family treasures and children's' delights. They range from miniatures, simple rustic crèches, and handmade family depictions of the birth of Christ, to elegant crystal and porcelain figurines from around...
