The Dalles Dam hosts 4th Annual Eagle Watch



National Bird: The public is invited to view the American Bald Eagles, from The Dalles Dam on Jan. 11 and 12. The fourth annual "Dam Eagle Watch," will begin at 7:30 a.m. both days, at The Dalles Dam Visitor Center.

The bald eagles are back! How often do you see our nation's symbol, the bald eagle? Have you ever seen more than one bald eagle at a time? We have just the place to see these majestic birds.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites area residents and visitors to catch a glimpse of the American bald eagle at the fourth annual "Dam Eagle Watch." This two-day event takes place Saturday, Jan. 11 and Sunday, Jan. 12, from 7:30 a.m. to noon at The Dalles Dam Visitor Center in The Dalles, Ore. If the event is canceled due to inclement weather, the event will be held Saturday, Jan. 25 and Sunday, Jan. 26, at the same times.
