Why weren't monitoring data included?
Letter from the comunity
To the Editor:
It’s too bad that Rebecca Gourley’s story on concerns about the Hanford Site and the Columbia River wasn’t balanced with a mention of the results of actual environmental monitoring data from the Hanford Site and surrounding areas (soil, vegetation, animal, and surface water monitoring), as well as sampling results from the municipal water supply in Richland, the first downstream location where water is drawn for drinking. Neither show levels of concern for human health.
With continued cleanup and environmental monitoring, the river can continue to be protected....
