PNW Forest health conference announced

Insects, diseases, wildlife, fire and climate play critical roles in contributing to the health of forests in the Pacific Northwest. Region-wide forest health assessments help to determine the extent and intensity of the influence of these factors across all public and private ownerships - eastside and westside - in Oregon and Washington. The summary of those studies and the forecast for the future are the focus of a Regional Assessment of Forest Health Conference, Feb. 26, at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver, WA.

Registration cost is $165 prior to Feb. 17 and $195 thereafter. Go to http://www.westrnforestry.org to register and learn more about the conference. Participants can expect to gain the ability to assess health issues in that affect their forested land. The conference qualifies for six CFE Cat. 1 hours through the Society of americn Foresters.
