Virginia Neal

God has called home the last of a pair of his favored angels. Tuesday the 14th of January at 11:05 a.m. Virginia Lee Neal passed from this earth into our Heavenly Father's arms. She took her last breath in her home in Wishram, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on October 25, 1940 in Missoula, Montana. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Keith Neal, her parents, Geneva Woody-Bell, Kenneth Lewis and Bernard Bell, her sister, Judith Wirths, and her brother, Jerry Lewis. Virginia leaves behind so many that loved her: her children Steve Neal and Cindy Neal Carter and her son-in-law Doyle Carter, four beautiful grandchildren Jacob (JD), Nathan, Bethany and Jonathan. She also leaves behind her remaining siblings; Jim Lewis, Delight Payseno, Sally Bryce, John Lewis and Kimber Lewis, many nieces and nephews their children and even their children's children. She leaves her a legacy of true love and true friendship. She was a wonderful mother to her children and an awesome grandmother to her grandchildren. She was a wonderful aunt to her numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia was also there for anyone who was in need, often times without even being asked.

Virginia spent many years on the Wishram School Board and the Wishram Community Council. She was always ready and willing to do what she could to make her community a better place for everyone! Rest in peace Virginia knowing fully the depth of our love and the depth of our grief of losing you.

The memorial service will be held in her beloved hometown of Wishram Washington on Sunday Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Wishram church (340 Main Street, Wishram, WA 98673). She will then be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Keith in Portland, Oregon at the Willamette National Cemetery (11800 SE Mt Scott Blvd, Portland, OR 97086) on Friday February 7, 2014 at 1 p.m. After the service in Portland, there will be a social gathering from 2:30 to 6 p.m. at Stark Street Pizza (9234 SE Stark St, Portland, OR 97216). All are welcome to attend one or both services, as well as the social gathering. As our Lord welcomes Virginia we softly say Goodbye until we meet again.
