Timberwolf golfers win Hood River matches, boys benefit from tight grouping of scores

SCENIC COURSE: Goldendale's golfers enjoyed the weather and scenery at The Dalles golf course last week. Above, Andrew Gerchak tees off on the par 4 fourth.

Goldendale golfers had solid outings in their first action of the year at The Dalles Country Club last week. Bree Wanderscheid was the easy winner on March 18 in a girls only meet, shooting a one-over-par 73. As a team, the Lady Timberwolves were second with other individual scores from Sawyer Ross with a 110, Natalie Hurst at 119, Emily Hurst 134 and Kate Hiebert shooting a 154.

The boys' team placed fifth in the boys' only meet on Friday. The team had a tight grouping of scores with Andrew Gerchak leading the way with a 90. Bryce Wilkins shot 97 and Mitch Anderson was in with a 98. Nathaniel Hill shot a 104 and Jace Enwards shot 112.
