White Swan puts damper on LWK opener with 31 hits in sweep


It was a rough outing for Lyle-Wishram-Klickitat (LWK) in their opening double-header at White Swan, losing by 18-8 and 21-5 scores in games shortened by the 10-run rule.

Both teams were a little rusty in the field with White Swan committing six errors in the first game and LWK with four. But, it was the hitting by White Swan which made the difference as they pounded out 14 hits in the opener and 17 in the nightcap.

The Cougars of LWK were holding their own in the early going of the first game. A four-run fourth inning closed the score to 10-8, but White Swan came back with five in the bottom of the fourth and scored three in the sixth to end the game. LWK hits came from Dylon Sisson, who...
