Montoya and Luke win at Stevenson

MIXED CONDITIONS: Lyle-Wishram's Ellie Smith throws the javelin in the rain and sunshine at Stevenson. Smith was second in the javelin behind teammate MaeLynn Luke.

It was probably a typical day, if you asked Stevenson natives about last week's Trico track meet, rainy, breezy, sunny. The conditions put a damper on some performances, but Lyle-Wishram's track and field squad managed to come away from the meet with a number of personal records (PR).

Foremost among the Cougar performers was Jacob Zeigler who has been strong in the sprints this year. Ziegler set PR in the 200 meters where he placed second in 24.38 seconds and the 100 meters with a sixth place 12.09. He had company with good results from teammates in the sprints.
