Ronald Hansen


Ronald N. Hansen, nearly 86, passed away April 9, 2014.

He was born June 12, 1928 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Florence and Walter Hansen.

Hansen, who has lived in Lynden for the past couple years, had been a resident of Washington since 1977, first moving to Goldendale from Stateline, Nevada. He was a self made man whose work experience covered many fields, including Merchant Marine Sailor at age 16 during World War II, Sgt. in the Army Air Corps, plumber, electrician, actor, stuntman, silversmith, saddle maker, horseman, artist, sculptor, carpenter, archery and fencing instructor, veterinarian, furniture maker, hunter and fishermen; the list is endless to Hansen's life-long accomplishments. Most of all he was a husband, father, grand and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Dale Hansen.

He is survived by his wife Elaine, of 62 years, son Mark, and three daughters Chris, Tracy and Wendy, 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. He was an amazing man and will be missed by all.
