Wolves one out away from making great come-back win at Zillah, lose 10-9


Goldendale staged a great come-back in the first game of a double-header, Saturday in Zillah. But, credit the Leopards for not folding as they went on to win and take both games from the Timberwolves, 10-9 and 9-2.

Goldendale trailed 8-4 in the top of the seventh inning. Kevin Gilk led the come-back with a lead off single. Gilk would come around and score, but he wasn’t done. Dean Enstad and J.C. Cline each singled and Ben Cochran drove in a run on a sacrifice fly for the second out. Reiss Kauffman pinch hit and reached on an error by the pitcher. The next batter, Reggie Sargeant struck out, but the ball got away from the catcher and Sargeant made it safely to first base, bringing Gilk...
