City council hears on library, Farmers' Market


Kind words and sharp criticism were in abundance at the Goldendale City Council meeting Monday night.

Naomi Fisher, librarian of the Goldendale Library, spoke to the council on the occasion of the mayor’s appointment of two new members, Mary Wood and Asa Israel, to the Goldendale Library board. She noted that the library building was 100 years old this year. She expressed appreciation for the city and the community support for the library over the years.

“We had 80,000 visits to the library last year,” Fisher said. “That’s in response to our range of services. We have free WiFi, streaming audio and video—we’ve had a lot of new people come in surprised at what they can get. W...

Why did the Police Chief not address the person with the head trauma? I'd think that would rank up there above some DUIs and the potential for marijuana problems, especially if the city is found liable. I hope that an independent agency is investigating.
