Cameron and Disch blaze their way to State, Golding wins 300 hurdles


Zillah’s Riley Olney held off Goldendale’s Briley Cameron again to win the 100 meter and 200 meter sprints at the District 5 track meet in Royal City. Olney got through the season with just one loss in the 100 meters, back in March when he finished second. He also lost once in the 200 meters to Cameron at last week’s sub-district meet.

Cameron won his first 100 meters of the year, at Moro and has had eight second place finishes since. He also has four wins in the 200 meters and six second place finishes. Both runners plus Jose Mejia, of Granger and Cody Hand, of River View will represent District 5 in the sprints at State which starts this Friday at Eastern Washington University, in...
