Eatery goes through inspection process


Public Health Inspectors never know exactly what they might find when walking into one of the 138 licensed food establishments located in Klickitat County. The Sentinel was invited to ride along with one Klickitat County inspector during an unscheduled reinspection of a local eatery.

Equipped with metal clipboard, laser temperature gun, and years of experience, Klickitat County Inspector David Kavanagh made his way to the restaurant’s kitchen after a typical breakfast rush and asked for the person in charge. It was determined that the restaurant owner needed to be present for this reinspection process, and there would be about a 10-minute wait.
