Police have crime evidence volunteered to them


Sometimes police get fortunate to have evidence handed to them that makes investigations of crimes a snap. Two such cases were reported by Goldendale Police, one a hit and run collision and the other a vehicle prowl.

On July 6, police were informed to be on the lookout for a dark SUV with Alaska license plates. An officer spotted the vehicle near the 100 block of North Klickitat around 2 a.m. As the officer prepared to stop the vehicle, he observed it backing into a parked car, then drive off. The officer pulled over the SUV and noticed that the driver, Anthony Wilson, appeared to have been drinking. Wilson confirmed that suspicion, saying he had been drinking a lot.
