Gallery has glass and annual dinner

GLASS WALL: This glass artwork is among the featured pieces in the Glass Makers of the Gorge exhibit now at the Golden Art Gallery.

The Golden Art Gallery, at 614 S. Columbus Avenue Suite D in Goldendale, probably won't want you to bring in a rambunctious dog this month. Not that that's a good idea any time in an art gallery, but this month in particular the gallery is full of glass.

The Glass Makers of the Gorge show is now on display at the gallery through the month of August. So, too, are the items for the gallery's silent and oral auctions. The glass displays are varied, colorful-and full of the output of local artists.

Dinner tickets are also on sale now at the gallery for its annual fundraising dinner on Aug. 16, this year being held at the American Legion. Buy them quickly; the gallery needs a head count as soon as possible. The annual fund raising event presents a special exhibit, a preview reception, a dinner, and oral and silent auctions.

The Golden Art Gallery is committed to adding to the cultural and educational resources of the community. As a non-profit operation with no paid staff, it depend on sales, fund-raising events, artist members, and volunteers to help continue its operations.
