White Salmon teen turns to Paint circuit after successful career in Klickitat County4-H

GIVING BACK: Samantha Gross says she is looking to give back to the program which has launched her success in the horse program. Gross won almost all there was to win during her last two years at the Klickitat County Fair and scored big at the World Pinto Championships in June. This year she will assist her grandmother Sue as a ring steward at the Fair.

The competition in horse classes this year will be just a bit easier for the competition as Samantha Gross, who cleaned up at the Klickitat County Fair over the past two years will sit this one out.

Gross was the champion in showmanship, bareback, western equitation, English equitation and trail in 2012. She competed in the intermediate 4-H division that year and won the overall championship and high point trophy. She rode the same horse to victory again in 2013 in all but the trail class. She went on to the Washington State Fair where she was the champion in horsemanship.
