Wishram school gets clean audit


The Wishram School District received a clean bill of health from the Washington State Auditor’s Office in an Aug. 1 report.

“In the areas we examined, the District’s internal controls were adequate to safeguard public assets,” the report stated. “The District also complied with state laws and its own policies in the areas we examined.”

Wishram School District provides educational services to approximately 66 prekindergarten through 12th grade students. The district has one school building and approximately 20 employees. An elected, five-member Board of Directors governs the district, which has an annual budget of $1.8 million.
