Cycle Oregon loses their way and goes to Glenwood via Lyle still welcomed


If you happen to be up around 6 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, and happen to see about a hundred bicycles coming through and stopping for a rest at the park in Lyle, then you will be able to say you witnessed “Cycle Oregon.” OLESS is hosting their first pit stop of their three day tour. They will make their way from The Dalles to Glenwood via SR14 to Highway 142, through Klickitat then climb the hill and ‘cross over the meadow and through the woods’ and on into Glenwood.

Folks, the last time I was on a bike it had one chain, fat tires and a seat large enough to fit my fanny; no gears, no hand brakes and no skinny tires; so I’ll leave the bicycling to the younger, more agile crowd and...
