A quarter too many for Cougars in 58-28 loss at Dufur Eight Man Classic

Lyle-Wishram's re-entry into the world of eight-man football had a smooth start, but things fell apart in the fourth quarter and Hosanna Christian ran away with the game 58-28.

The game was in doubt early in the fourth quarter when quarterback Gabe Montoya battled back from leg cramps to score on a 70 yard touchdown run. Montoya had been out of the game for the last half of the third quarter and scored the touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter on third and 20. It narrowed the deficit to 30-22. But, Montoya continued to deal with cramps as did several of the Cougar players and he was absent for much of the fourth quarter when the Lions exploded for four touchdowns.
