On Sept. 2, 2014, Loren E. Sharon passed away quietly at home.

He was born in Sac City, Iowa on Feb. 18, 1933 to Ralph E. and Alice M. Sharon.

Coming to Goldendale, he worked as a timber faller for Burt Wilkins Logging, C&H Logging, and then Doubravsky Logging. Along the way, he became a locksmith, which he did for 30 years.

While working for Burt Wilkins Logging, he met and married Margie L. Foster. They married August 8, 1967 and enjoyed 47 years together.

He was a man of many interests including leather working, C.B. Radio Club, the Mid Columbia Amateur Radio Club, the E.O.C., sturgeon fishing, hunting and gardening. He spent many hours being involved in the Klickitat Valley C.B. Club and then the Mid Columbia Amateur Radio Club. He was licensed by the F.C.C. as a category extra. He also volunteered at the E.O.C. for Hugh Holte in The Dalles, Ore. In later years, it was gardening he spent hours on. He grew a big garden every year with the help of his cat, Lucky.

Loren is survived by his wife, Margie, a sister, June Heinricks, and two brothers, Gerald and Wayne. He also has many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to KVH's Home Health and Hospice caregivers. Also, to his nephews, Allen and Jeff Sharon along with Paul and Donna Meech.

Loren requested that no services be held.
