Sandwich dispute lands man in jail for assault


What began as an argument over money ended up in an arrest for fourth degree assault, domestic violence, according to a Goldendale Police report. The incident began around 6 p.m. on Sept. 27 when a couple visited the local McDonalds drive thru. Apparently the argument escalated along Simcoe Ave. and the female in the vehicle tossed out the driver’s sandwich. His response was to punch her in the face. The report says she got out of the car and the man drove home where he was arrested after she called the police.
