Ace serving sinks Bickleton in pair of league matches

SOARING: Barb Schlangen launches an attack at Bickleton. Schlangen had six kills in the Klickitat win.

Bickleton suffered a pair of shutout losses to league opponents this week, losing to Lyle-Wishram and Klickitat by 3-0 scores. The Cougars had a diversified attack against the Pirates with kills shared among Lacy Carse with seven, MaeLynn Luke with five and Kiya Childers with five. More damaging, however was the inability of Bickleton to handle Lyle-Wishram's serves as Caity Showalter scored 11 aces for the Cougars. Carse also hit four more without a return and Luke and Childers had two aces each. The scores for the set were 25-11, 25-12, 25-18.
