Cougars shake off loss by running roughshod over South Wasco


If there were questions about how Lyle-Wishram would respond to being beaten at their own physical game by Neah Bay last week, the answer appeared to be inspired. The Cougars went right after South Wasco and ruined their homecoming with a 56-38 win.

Coach Antoine Montoya spread the ball around on Friday with six Cougars rushing for a total of 346 yards and six receivers pulling in 242 yards of passing from Gabe Montoya and Gavyn Nelson. Five Cougars scored touchdowns, including a kick return by Jacob Ziegler.
