Rising to the top at Ekone Park

Dillon Rising won his second race of the year in Goldendale last Thursday. It was also the first time he beat the Bickleton duo of Andrew Gannon and Troy Roberts. Rising led for almost the entire race around and through Ekone Park with Gannon and Roberts nipping at his heals and pushing the Goldendale freshman to his best time of the year for a 5k race.

The three runners have crossed paths at four races. In the first race, at Ellensburg, they were in different divisions, although they all ran the same 2.35 mile course. Rising won his race that day, but Roberts had the best time and Gannon was just 12 seconds behind Rising's time. The next two races were head-to-head-to-head matches. Rober...
