Timberwolves run with the Leopards in early stages of Zillah homecoming before Krueger runs away with game

Zillah won their homecoming game against Goldendale 49-12, but for most of the first half, it was anyone’s game. Both teams featured potent running attacks through the first 19 minutes of the ball game.

Zillah lost their quarterback, Justin Dunsmore to an injury on the first play of their second possession in the first quarter. Dunsmore was back to pass and pumped once before being hit by two Wolves, resulting in a fumble recovered by Goldendale. It would lead to the Timberwolves’ first touchdown of the night, a nine-play drive capped off by a 1-yard run by B.J. Walter. Bryce Wilkins was 3-3 on the drive with completions to Kevin Gilk for 10 and six yards and Tyrell Read for 11.
