Goldendale Health Ministry offers free resources


The new Goldendale Health Ministry is a non-profit, faith-based group that uses nurses and para-professionals in the medical community from local churches to provide free health education and resources to those who may not otherwise be able or willing to seek healthcare from established sources such as physicians. The organization does not prescribe or treat, but does screenings and makes referrals.

Two recent presentations offered were one held in the summer called Babysitting 101, which taught 11-14 year-olds basic child care skills and CPR and was well-attended. Then there was a month-long event in anticipation of Medicare Open Enrollment which began Oct. 15 with sessions every Saturd...
