Goldendale student gives the weather on TV

IS THERE WEATHER OR NOT?: Goldendale Middle Schooler Kody Kiser gives viewers the forecast on KOIN TV.

Kody Kiser, a sixth grader from the Goldendale Middle school, probably wishes he were in Groundhog Day, so like Bill Murray's fictional weatherman he could keep reliving the same day.

The student was invited to help present the weather by KOIN TV weatherman Riley O'Conner live. And he did.

On Oct. 18 Kiser's parents, Rod and Cathy Kiser, drove Kody to the KOIN studio in Portland and were let in the KOIN tower by an armed guard. O'Connor took the family on a tour of the studio and showed Kody how he sets things up. Then at just the right time, O'Connor called Kody out, live and on air.

Kody got to do some weather by himself, say hi to his friend Mason Conroy and his uncle David. To see him...
