50 Years Ago - November 12, 1964

The Goldendale City Council Monday night purchased a new patrol car for the police dept., cracked down on leaf burners, transferred funds to cover a park dept. deficit, gave its approval to a liquor license for the Shah Cafe and vacated certain unopened alleys and streets in the low land along the Little Klickitat. The council honored the petition of Harrison Johnson and Dr. G. J. Timmer that unopened streets and alleys on property owned by them be vacated.

75 Years Ago - November 9, 1939

Fires destroyed two ranch homes in the Klickitat Valley Saturday. A blaze that started in the roof completely destroyed the E. E. Morgan farm house in Horseshoe Ben...
