To the Editor:
Regarding your Nov. 13 front-page analysis piece, “Local Republican Party faces national issues,” I guess I missed what part was supposed to be news. The fight between mainstream Republicans and those that might be considered TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party types started a couple of election cycles ago.
Here’s how I see it: mainstream Republicans at the national level are mostly about power, and they only give lip service to what might be considered conservative, constitutionally-based, principles; whereas the TEA Party types actually do want to at least stop the growth of this leviathan that formed in Washington, D.C.
