50 Years Ago - November 26, 1964

Paul Johnson announced, “This is my 33rd year as superintendent at Goldendale, and I feel it is time I step down to make room for a younger man.” Paul has been a teacher in Washington for 38 years. He began his career as a teacher at Sultan, a small town east of Everett. After teaching there two years, he and his sister, also a teacher came to the school at Roosevelt, where they taught three years. “In the fall of ‘32 I learned the superintendent at Goldendale had resigned.
