Future business leaders attend symposium

On Nov. 18, the Capitol Theatre in Yakima, was host to the Many Faces of Entrepreneurship symposium. An entrepreneur is a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so. Seven Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students from Goldendale High School joined hundreds of students from area high schools to listen and absorb advice from successful local entrepreneurs.

The focus was to understand the connection between creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. To promote Global Entrepreneurship Week, several men and women shared their stories with the students. The keynote speaker was Roland "Sandy" Wheeler,...
