Timberwolves let one slip away in overtime after strong start at River View


Turnovers and dominance on the offensive board allowed River View to survive a first half beating and push Goldendale to overtime in a tough 69-64 loss for the Timberwolves. In spite of the loss, there were a lot of positives for the Timberwolves in the season opener played at Finley.

The Wolves carried a 13 point lead into half time, but River View turned the tables in the third quarter, slashing 11 points off the 30-17 lead, eventually forcing overtime. Goldendale missed six free throws in the extra period, on a night where they otherwise out-shot their opponent, and had to settle for the loss.
