Marjorie Etta Schroder, 90 years, a long-time resident of Goldendale passed away December 18, 2014, at her home.

Marjorie was born October 4, 1924 in Crofton Prairie to Floyd and Mary Thompson. Marjorie was raised in the Blockhouse area of Goldendale and attended rural one-room schools in Crofton Prairie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, F. Henry Schroder, whom she had married June 13, 1943. Also preceding her in death was a son Larry Schroder and siblings Velma McKinney, Eldon Thompson, Shirley Hassing and Marvelyn Smith.

Marjorie enjoyed gardening, quilting, her farm animals, reading, crossword puzzles and various games such as dominoes, checkers and pinochle. She had a special love for babies and children including the neighborhood children.

Survivors include thirteen children Russell (Karen) Schroder, Maureen (Stan) Baker, Linda (JP) Enderby, Steve (LaWanna) Schroder, Barbara (LeRoy) Fields, Sheila (Bill) Beyerlin, Julie (Gary)Metz, Susan (Jim) Cronin, Gregg Schroder, Karla (Mark) Hoctor, Dougg Schroder, Donn (Tracy) Schroder, Brett Schroder, and one sister Vesta Hyder. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several great-great grandbabies.

Visitation will be available 10 a.m. on December 29th. Funeral services are Monday, December 29 at 11 a.m. at Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel.
