21 points for Knowland in Vandal win, Green hits for 22 in Lady Vandal loss


Klickitat got off to a poor start versus Mitchell-Spray in their first game of the Arlington tournament, last Friday. Mitchell-Spray stretched a 21-8 first quarter margin to 33-13 by half, then held on for a 53-41 win.

The Vandals had their chances, according to Coach Phillip Watlamet. “We probably blew 19 lay-ins in the first half,” said Watlamet.

Mitchell-Spray pressed the Vandals, but they were able to break it, but couldn’t finish. The Vandals’ scoring was balanced with Mason Knowland scoring nine and three players, Nathan Erickson, Logan Foix and Easton Atchley each putting in eight points.

The second game flowed much better for the Vandals as they defeated the host Arlington...
