Mary Ladiges


Mary Katherine Ladiges passed away with her family by her side on Dec. 26, 2014 in The Dalles, Ore., at the age of 93.

She was born Dec. 28, 1920 in Glenwood, Wash., to Sciesta (Lilivon) and William Tye Bolt. Mary was the wife of Paul William Ladiges, who passed away in 1996. She worked as a dispatcher for the Department of Natural Resources and was a member and served on the board of Pioneer Memorial Community Church in Glenwood, which was a big part of her life. Mrs. Ladiges enjoyed sewing, playing the organ, gold mining, huckleberry picking, arts and crafts and cooking.

She is survived by her children Marlene Murray and her husband Bubs of Glenwood, Leona Garner of Glenwood and Yvonne Bossert and her husband Larry of Yakima; brothers Roy Bolt and Jim Bolt, both of Portland; sisters Helen Eaton of Glenwood, Lily Godfrey of Yakima, Lillian Anrig of Goldendale and Shirley Burril of Glenwood; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Paul, grandsons Wade Andrew and Nolan Andrew, and great-granddaughter Darcie Shupe.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Pioneer Memorial Community Church in Glenwood with interment at Mt. Adams Cemetery. To send condolences to the Ladiges family, please sign the online guestbook at
