Two more wins for Timberwolf grapplers


Goldendale upped their dual meet record to 5-1 with wins of 36-21 over Stevenson and 36-24 over Columbia-White Salmon, last week in White Salmon.

Daniel Wedgewood and Zane Cully scored pins against both teams to propel the Timberwolves to victory. Wedgewood took out James Ryan, of Stevenson at 152 pounds with 20 seconds left in the match and he defeated his Bruin opponent just before the second round expired.

Cully had a pair of first round pins over Stevenson’s Chris Humber and White Salmon’s Paul Demchuck in the 195 pound division.

All three of the teams had to forfeit at three weight divisions, leaving the match to be decided on the mat. Against Stevenson, Goldendale also got a pin...
