Margie L. Sharon

On Jan. 5, 2015, Margie L. (Foster) Sharon passed away quietly at home, following the passing of her husband, Loren, in September.

Margie was born to E.M. (Pokey) and Nellie A. Foster on Aug. 4, 1933 in the sunroom of their home in Goldendale, WA.

Graduating from Goldendale High School, she then attended business school in Yakima, returning to Goldendale afterwards. She then became employed by NBC Bank where she worked for many years. Later, she worked as a bookkeeper for Bert Wilkins Logging, where she met her husband, Loren. They married Aug. 8, 1967 and enjoyed 47 years together.

At the beginning of their marriage, some of their best memories were made while camping in the mountains. While Loren was at work falling trees, Margie would spend many hours exploring the mountains and gathering mushrooms.

Whenever family and friends dropped by they could always count on a good visit. She loved playing cards with them, if time allowed. Also well known was her generosity. Margie was always trying to help.

Even though Margie had many health issues during her life, she always maintained a cheerful outlook.

Margie was preceded in death by her mother and father; a sister, Barbara A. Sherman, and husband, Loren.

She is survived by her brother, Marc Foster (Jaci) of Goldendale, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank KVH’s Home Health and a special thanks to Cecile Miller for care giving in the last months.

Margie requested that no services be held.
