Second half collapse costs Wolves league losses

Goldendale hung with Zillah’s boys’ basketball team for all but the final 30 seconds of the first half until a 17-1 turnover margin finally took its toll. The Leopards came out hot in the third quarter to put the game away and go on to a 92-54 win.

Dillon Shattuck kept Goldendale in touch with the Leopards through most of the first half, scoring 15 of his 21 points and ripping down 10 rebounds. It wasn’t until well into the second quarter that the Leopards had their first turnover of the game, in spite of their fast paced style of play. A flurry of Goldendale turnovers in the final 30 seconds of the half allowed Zillah to increase their lead from eight points to 13 at the buzzer.
