Lee Wilson Mercer, 96, passed away in The Dalles, Oregon on January 22, 2015.

He was born on October 9, 1918 in McKinley, Oklahoma to Maggie V. (Baker) and Fred L Mercer. After being raised in Oklahoma, Lee moved to Colorado with his wife Stella Mace. They moved to Portland in the early 1940's and to Ridgefield, Washington in 1945. During World War II, Mr. Mercer worked as an iron and steel molder in Vancouver. He later worked for Alcoa. Lee moved to Long Beach, Washington where he started his own plumbing business. He retired to Goldendale in 2001.

Mr. Mercer enjoyed woodworking and he lived to fish. Lee came to know the Lord later in life and put his trust in Him.

He is survived by his daughter Wanda; son and daughter-in-law Donald and Barbara Ann; several grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren as well as many great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his second wife of 33 years Helen, and grandson Michael.

A memorial service will be held at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1 p.m. with a reception following. Please send condolences to the Mercer family at
