Mustangs, Pirates and Vandals in fight to the finish for B district boys' playoffs

FINDING HIS GAME: Klickitat sophomore began to flex his muscle as a scorer for the Vandals. A good outside shooter and superb ball handler, Holycross's emergence is helping keep the Vandals in the playoff hunt.

Lyle-Wishram secured their position as a top three team in the Greater Columbia Gorge League with wins over Bickleton and Klickitat last week. The Cougars were 7-3 going into Tuesday's game against Trout Lake, who is hanging on to a slim lead over Bickleton for the coveted fourth place.

A 1-2 week with losses to Sunnyside Christian and Klickitat allowed the Pirates to close to two back in the loss column behind the Mustangs. The strongest mover in last week's action was Yakama Nation who went 3-0 with a big win over Sunnyside Christian 64-56 and pushed back Lyle-Wishram 62-50.

Bickleton started league action with a win over Glenwood. Since then, wins have been hard to come by. They got by...
