Goldendale has KLCK and radio news coverage from Haystack Broadcasting, but it's also on the verge of having its own local community low-power FM station on the air. It's called KVGD-LP (Klickitat Valley Goldendale Lower-Power).

KVGD-LP is an independent, non-commercial, community radio station serving the Goldendale area. The station will offer its listeners news broadcasts, information of local relevance such as community and civic events, a vast range of music, educational, cultural, and children's programming.

The executive board of KVGD-LP consists of radio personality/technician Cory Eberhart, treasurer Kathy O'Brennan and co-directors Teresa Clyne and Ric Frye. Their story began in...
