Lady Pirates down Cougars, Chitwhins on to Regionals

Bickleton defeated Taholah 59-31 to return to State for the first time since WIAA went to the Regional format. The win sends the team back west again for this Saturday's game against Neah Bay. The winner will advance to the State finals to be played in Spokane.

The Lady Pirates began their long sojourn by defeating Lyle-Wishram 34-33 in the final game of the District 5 tournament, last week. As the score suggests, it was a defensive battle. Bickleton was determined to have Hannah Pond work the ball to the corners where the Pirates would dump in to Jayce Alexander on the left side or Lindsay Brown on the right.
