Residents enact their own 'gated community'

He was being drained as the nights grew darker. After years of keeping his guard up and being overworked, he was done with it. So Goldendale resident William Potter set out to close off his once-peaceful neighborhood from the permeating crime.

"People kept stealing stuff and ruining the road, and when I told them to go away, they basically told me I didn't have any rights to kick them off the road," says Potter.
