Dogs, trees, and funds highlight council meeting


Vicious dogs, potentially damaging trees, and distribution of tourism dollar funds were among the principal issues addressed at the Goldendale city council meeting Monday night.

Two residents spoke back-to-back to the council about a possibly dangerous dog near their residences on 21st Street.

“This dog is a real problem,” the first said. “I’m worried about kids in the area.”

The second resident echoed the concern and added that he’d like to see the speed limit in the area reduced from 25 miles per hour to 15. “Drivers just race along in there,” he said. He also spoke of instances of assault and attempted rape in the city, when people intentionally touched others inappropr...
