Multiple heart surgeries don't hold GHS student down

One Goldendale High School senior is stronger than a lot of full-grown men out there; he can stare any challenge he faces in the eyes and somehow manage to surpass it with total composure. This being said, it's no surprise that in the face of daunting medical issues, this young man still achieves so much. Tanner Tallman, graduating third in his class and being the FFA (Future Farmers of America) District 4 Star Farmer (among everything else), is without a doubt a man of many talents and passions.

"It started out as a really rough ride, having open heart surgery at a really young age," says Tallman. "But I never really let that hold me back."

Tallman was born with a pulmonary heart valve...
