Lyle-Wishram sweeps White Swan Cougars 16-3, 13-12

THROWING STRIKES: Winter Burgin pitched nine solid innings against White Swan, keeping batters off the bases with good control of her pitches. Lyle-Wishram won both games, improving their record to 2-2.

Lyle-Wishram scored early and hung on to complete a sweep over White Swan, Saturday, 16-3 and 13-12. Winter Burgin pitched all but one inning, making her the pitcher of record for both wins.

White Swan didn't plate a runner until the fifth inning of the first game, when they scored three and closed the gap to 9-3. But, Lyle-Wishram came up with seven in the fifth to end the game. Burgin and Lacy Carse each tripled in the opener. Carse also doubled and was 3-3 at the plate. Maelynn Luke and Bridgett Jones were both 4-4 in the game. Burgin was sharp all day and walked just one batter in game one.
