Washington moves to establish diplomatic relations with Oregon

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee today announced he was moving to establish full diplomatic relations with neighboring Oregon.

“It’s time,” Inslee stated. “We established our independence from the USA when we passed our marijuana law in defiance of federal law. Last year we started printing our own money. Most recently we cut off relations with Indiana over their dumb—let’s be honest—religious rights law. Now that Oregon is following suit, we plan to open an embassy in Salem.”

Meanwhile Cuban President Raul Castro has said he’s prepared to open an embassy in Olympia if Washington would be willing to substitute Cuban cigars for marijuana.
