Bickleton's Nathan Powers clears 6-2 at Don Holder Relays in Yakima


Bickleton’s Nathan Powers nailed a jump at the Don Holder Relays on Saturday, setting a personal record (PR) in the high jump of 6 feet 2 inches. It was 2 inches better than Powers’ previous best which was set in 2013. His best jump of last year was 5-10, which earned him runner-up spot at the 1B State meet. Saturday’s jump put Powers in fourth place at the meet with the winning jump of 6-7 by Micah Tranch, of Riverside Christian, an athlete Powers could be challenging for a win at State this year as Riverside Christian is now a 1B school.
