Successful living skills, classes being taught at the Haven

HAVEN SPACE: The Haven on Allyn Street in Goldendale is evolving. While remaining a Christian life-skills ministry, the facility is adding classes and projects to broaden its capacities and reach.

After its opening in July of 2014 and then closing for a brief time after, the Haven has been through many changes for the better. One of these changes is the contribution of life skills classes to the community. These classes will offer a variety of teachings on anything from parenting to baking-basic skills needed to live successfully.

"We kind of opened as a safe place for the people of Goldendale to come enjoy," says Kim Maiava, director of the Haven.

The facility is a non-denominational Christian life-skills ministry.
