Cougars let one get away at Sunnyside Christian with walk-off


Sunnyside Christian came up with three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rip a 13-12 win from the hands of Lyle-Wishram, on Friday. The Cougars fought back from a 6-1 start to take a 10-6 lead over the Knights in the top of the fourth inning. Sunnyside Christian tied the game in the sixth inning, but Lyle-Wishram jumped back on top with a two run cushion in the seventh, keyed by a Troy Spino blast. But the Knights didn’t fold and Darren Broersma scored the winning run. Chad Hester, Kurtis Billette, Riley Mills and Spino each drove in runs for the Cougars.
